Who I Am and Why I Blog About Knitting
Hi! I'm Melissa Everett, and I'm the creator of the and we knit. blog! You can also visit me through my Instagram account @melliknits where I post about my latest knitting projects and adventures, blog updates, and my 5 feline knitting helpers!
I began this blog because I love to knit, and if you've found your way here, you probably love to knit, too! I knit as a way to calm anxieties and practice mindfulness. I find the rhythm of my needles soothing and the feel of the yarn in my hands very comforting!
I blog about my latest Cast Ons, WIPs, FOs, and new project prep. I also dabble in knitting design and like to share what I've learned! Sometimes I'll write up how to's, tutorials, or talk about other knitty subjects!
I include other knitting related things going on in my life, other interesting knitty things I find out and about and online, and just other cool things I come across!
When I'm not knitting or blogging, you can find me in Maryland, USA working in small business finance, volunteering at my local cat rescue, and spending time with my husband, 3 kids, and 5 fur babies!
